This is why I wrote the book...

To inspire others. I love it when I hear people say that it was my book that got them to start running trails or running ultras. That's why I did it.

Run hard out there...

It is still my "go to" book for newbies and a perfect Christmas gift, too. I need to order more from our local Barnes and Noble!

Catawba 2011?

I am currently reading your book. The stories have helped me to continue to pursue my dream of running my first ultramarathon. Thank you for a great resource!

Thanks Thomas. What will be your first ultra?

Neal, I decided to run my first ultra on my home trail, the Northshore Trail, during the November 2011 Rockledge Rumble 50K.

If everything goes well, I plan to run the 50 mile race at Rocky Raccoon 3 months later (Feb 2012). I am reading about the RR in your great book!!!

If everything goes really, really, REALLY well, maybe I'll take a shot at my first 100 mile race at the Rocky Raccoon in 2013. But first, I am just focusing on getting through my next milestone race!

Thanks for stopping by my blog!
